Aptive Capital is Offering an Innovation Bazaar where entrepreneurs from Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, and South Africa will send in their pitch and 5 viable startups and businesses will be selected to receive $10, 000 investment each via a virtual pitch which will happen between June 15 and 19 2020.
This was re-echoed during the Accelerate 2.0 forum hosted by the Directorate of Marketing and Brand Management in Akwa Ibom State, South-South, Nigeria.
The forum which was hosted to explore social investments as funding options for entrepreneurs was tagged “Accessing grants for social investments”
Attended by Aptive Capital CEO, Dr. Ben Peter, Adewunmi Adeshina of One Kiosk Africa, a technology entrepreneur, Seth Usanga, and many other young Innovators, Accelerate 2.0 forum engaged industry experts and innovators on strategic options and functional funding options for businesses in Nigeria.
Announcing the Aptive Capital Funding for Startups in Africa during the forum, the Aptive Capital boss, Dr. Ben Peter lauded the Governor Udom Emmanuel led administration for encouraging entrepreneurship, creating the enabling environment and grooming business owners and startups to ignite an economic revolution in the state, which he said was the bedrock of sustainable equitable growth in Sub-Saharan Africa
Also speaking, Technology and Innovation entrepreneur, Seth Usanga currently one of the top 10 finalists in the MEST AFRICA 2020 challenge (an African tech startup pitch competition targeted at premier virtual startups around the continent) outlined the importance of collaboration in entrepreneurship, according to him collaboration was the fastest way to gain traction. He noted that it was imperative for entrepreneurs to collaborate and always be ready to unlearn and re-learn so as to achieve success.
On his part, a management consultant and the founder of One Kiosk®️ Africa, Adeshina Adewunmi John disclosed that the future of Africa depends on investment channeled towards supporting young entrepreneurs and maintained that young entrepreneurs owe the future a duty to utilize such funds well.
On her part, the Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Entrepreneurial Development, Mrs. Meflyn Anwana intimated participants on the importance of entrepreneurial education and charged entrepreneurs to avail themselves of the opportunity offered by the My Entrepreneurship Goals Program (MEGP) which assists start-ups in defining clear goals to accelerate their businesses.
